[So, after a hard morning of adventuring, our heroes are having a much needed rest back at the inns with their prizes. Some people may be busily chatting over the different robot parts that were found scattered across the city, but the turtles have bigger fish to fry.

Literally.

The kitchen of the Sword, Shield, and Spear is a flurry of activity and delicious smells in between Rapunzel flitting about and Mikey and Raph following after her to give basic instructions. The construction of pizza is an art after all.]

It's real easy! I mean—I don't get the dough, but the important thing to remember is dough, sauce, toppings. The dough's just to hold everything else together.

Communication, how does it do that?

Via wireless signals that are relayed via mobile phone towers. Thus it is useless here for that purpose.

Excellent. When you wish to play a higher note, you place your fingers higher on the guitar, yes? A shorter string produces a higher-pitched sound.

[Nods] Yes, that's right.

And the opposite goes for low notes. Imagine, then, a guitar with strings so long that the note goes lower and lower, until you cannot physically hear the note at all.

But you said it was wireless.

The sound itself does not require a wire for you to hear it, yes? And when the note goes too low to actually be heard, the sound is still being transmitted - you simply cannot detect it.

So electricity is like the background music.

Electricity powers the device, yes. The inaudible sound travels through the air using specific patterns that encode information.

Exactly. Of course, the scientific explanation is a bit more complicated, but that is the general idea.
