[Day 2, Night - A House South of Town]

[Written into the ground alongside one of the houses to the south of town tonight are a series of strange letters, forming a rough circle near the wall. A figure of approximately Loki's build, not there during the day's exploration, leans against the wall at the corner. The door to the house is open.]

[Some hours after the sudden switch from day to night, Loki stands in front of the door, a candle before him, a kitchen knife in one hand and a spoon in the other. He checks the mirror set carefully in the darkness, nothing yet visible in its surface. Then he strikes the knife with the spoon's handle, and he holds his breath - and he waits.]

[jerks in surprise, glancing down at her]

Take it easy. You look more than a little shaken.

[swallows hard and shakes her head . . . then just sits back down]

I am fine.

[soul_sister]

Uhhh huh. You get any paler and I'd be able to see through you.

[atacarme]

[she tries to glare, but it's tired and forced]

That is impossible.

[soul_sister]

Yep, nearly translucent.

[atacarme]

[soul_sister]

Come on, I'll help you get back.

[atacarme]

[huffs a little, but she isn't protesting]

I just need rest.

[soul_sister]

That's my line of thought too. This has been a day and a half.

[atacarme]

[rubs at her face]

Quite the understatement, that.

[soul_sister]

I got a way with words.

[Goes to take a hold of your wrist and lead on.]

[atacarme]

[she tenses like she's going to jerk her hand away, then . . . just gives in. Rosette will feel how shaky she is, though]

Mm . . .

[soul_sister]

[The hold remains light, but she stays close to the taller woman... fingers shifting just slightly to get a radial pulse...]

[The inns aren't that far, at least.]

At least there's enough from that store to make a good breakfast. I'm sure this'll just sleep off.

[her pulse is still racing a little; the way it would after going through something as crazy as they just did.

She keeps her head ducked low under her hood]

Mm, I think it will. Hopefully.
