[The morning clicks over.

You awaken having had a series of odd dreams last night. You feel wide awake this morning, your brain alive and awake. But your thoughts keep drifting to someone in particular....]

On the other hand, if you feel like you are MISSING SOMETHING since the fight with the ooze monster... you feel that same fascination, but you also have this solid knowledge that they have or know something you NEED.

Perfectly boring, I'm sure. Absolutely nothing of interest.

I just want to eat and take a look around. [frowns, glancing down the road]

. . . there is no nature here. It worries me.

I've a mind to check a few things, myself.

[a pause, and almost tentatively]

Of the foods we have been able to find . . . have any of them seeds, do you know?

The fare from the garden.

[atacarme]

Ah, good.

[murmurs, almost to herself] Perhaps they will be able to grow . . .

You wish to tend them?

[atacarme]

. . . mm. We need to eat, and without anything like that here, I am lacking in a source to draw magic from.

Must you draw it from somewhere?

[He gives her a bit of an odd look as they reach the store.]

. . . I use two systems of magic. The human one, and the Elven one.

The latter draws its energy from nature. Most of what I used last night is of that system.

Then before you use more of it, you've need to take more energy from somewhere.

[Lets himself into the building.]

[following behind him, hand on the hilt of her sword just in case]

Yes. Which is why the garden may be an idea. It would be small, but sufficient for now, if I do not use too much.

On the way back, we shall see what remains. I wish to search for one thing further, regardless.

The puppet's eye. Her head lay within the garden, and her torso too, all whole but for a single eye.

In the garden? How strange . . .

Buried beneath the soil, as though hidden there.

[Picks his way through the shop to where the food is kept.]

Yes. There was another wedged within a grate in town.
