[So, after a hard morning of adventuring, our heroes are having a much needed rest back at the inns with their prizes. Some people may be busily chatting over the different robot parts that were found scattered across the city, but the turtles have bigger fish to fry.

Literally.

The kitchen of the Sword, Shield, and Spear is a flurry of activity and delicious smells in between Rapunzel flitting about and Mikey and Raph following after her to give basic instructions. The construction of pizza is an art after all.]

It's real easy! I mean—I don't get the dough, but the important thing to remember is dough, sauce, toppings. The dough's just to hold everything else together.

[You are woken from your dreams by that cacophonous ticking. Louder, and louder it swells, before the sky jerks and then snaps to daylight, bright and full.

For those of you who didn't make it into the houses, you awaken to much the same scene as you slept to. All around, the others who fell to the cobblestones rouse themselves, joined, perhaps, by those who saw the night from their beds.

Little has changed, except this morning, the guttersweep's fingers are broken, his broom resting against the inn wall behind him. His clothes are not quite the way they were for the very VERY observant and a note rests on the cobblestone in front of him. The grate he was stooped to examine is now pried open several inches.

And a new figure has taken to the edges of the square. A young paperboy in a sideworn hat stands on tiptoe. A bundle of papers are tucked under his arm, and one held aloft to gather business.]

[ Over the murmur of conversations, explorations and violent attempts at escape, there comes a sound tick tick tick tick tick.............. CLICK.... The sky above snaps across the dome from blue to black... and everything goes dark.

A glow comes from the front door of each of the inns and one by one, you can see street lanterns begin to light up steadily past each of the gates.

The only flickering, organic light comes from above in the tower, spluttering high, high above everyone, through the slats of the closed shutters. After a moment, it's gone. ]

[ There is a loud click coming from the direction of the foyer. The first time you looked, there had been a bar blocking the door. But it is gone now, and light shines in softly through the door’s window. There is a commotion coming from outside the main doors. Just one voice, old and wheezing. He’s yelling, ranting, and there is no reply. ]

How could th- . . . blasted, filching little- . . . how, HOW! Damn th- . . .

[ You do the only narratively sensible thing and open that door. ]

[Stepping through you find yourself in an enourmous town square, sitting in a large octagon around a tall tower with a blue roof and small, distant shutters.

All around are strange faced people locked in mid motion. They had been strolling along side each other. Some with shopping bags or baskets in hand. One little girl stands in the middle of a group, exchanging a bright red flower for a matronly woman's coin.

A young man had paused in sweeping the pristine gutters to look at something in a drainpipe. A busker's fiddle is silent, the jar in front of her painted with coins.

On each side of the square another inn sits, each with brightly colored signposts. Between each of those - four total - four gates sit, all of them closed and guarded on either side by stern faced soldiers.]

[You blink and find yourself somewhere else. You feel stiff and tired, disoriented... and not at all what you were just doing a moment ago.]

[This room has an enormous, long rectangular table, seated with twenty high back chairs. A white table cloth covers the wood surface. Several colorful arrangements of cloth flowers color the room. Places have been set in front of each chair.]
